What happens when Swiss precision meets Japanese imagination? Caran d’Ache x Studio Ghibli explores how a single pencil can open entire worlds. Through posters and an immersive activation, I merged Ghibli’s poetry with Caran d’Ache’s craftsmanship, not to draw what we see, but what we dream, letting color bridge the two.
The goal was to design a collaboration concept that links Caran d’Ache’s craftsmanship with Ghibli’s creative world. The project aimed to highlight the brand’s artistic side while reaching a younger, more imaginative audience through visuals and experiences inspired by animation culture.
The concept was built around a simple idea : colored pencils as portals to imaginary worlds. That portal takes shape both through the pencils themselves and through Totoro-inspired buses, transformed into immersive gateways between reality and imagination. By merging Ghibli’s dreamlike storytelling with Caran d’Ache’s artistic precision, the project repositions drawing as an act of exploration, turning creativity into a place you can actually step into.
